Word Counter & Grammar Statistics (AI Readability Check)
Writing an essay with a strict word limit? Crafting the perfect Tweet? Or trying to optimize a blog post for SEO? Pixedra’s Smart Word Counter is more than just a calculator—it’s a writing assistant.
Simply paste your text to get an instant analysis of Words, Characters, Sentences, and Paragraphs. Unlike basic tools, we also analyze your Readability Score (Flesch-Kincaid) to tell you if your writing is too complex, and track Keyword Density to prevent over-optimization.
How to Check Word Count & Readability
- Type or Paste: Enter your text in the box above. The statistics update in real-time.
- Format Text: Use the toolbar to Remove Extra Spaces, convert to Sentence Case, or fix accidental UPPERCASE.
- Check Limits: Look at the Platform Limits section to see if your text fits in a Tweet (280 chars), Google Meta Description (160 chars), or LinkedIn Post.
- Analyze Tone: Check the Readability Score. Aim for "Green" (Easy/Standard) for general audiences.
Understanding the Metrics
What is the "Readability Score"?
We use the Flesch-Kincaid formula to determine how easy your text is to understand.
- High Score (90-100): Very Easy (5th-grade level). Good for marketing.
- Medium Score (60-70): Standard (8th-9th grade). Good for blogs.
- Low Score (0-30): Very Difficult (College level). Academic papers only.
Reading vs. Speaking Time
Reading Time: Based on an average speed of 200-250 words per minute.
Speaking Time: Based on a slower speech rate of 130 words per minute. Use this to time your presentations or YouTube scripts.
